The Colorado Governor’s Art Show & Sale, one of the largest fine art shows to exclusively feature Colorado artists, introduces the public to over 60 of Colorado’s top fine artists. The 34th Annual Governor’s Art Show will open Saturday, May 3rd through June 14th, 2025 featuring the fine art of 61 artists.  

The Governor’s Art Show is presented by the Loveland and Thompson Valley Rotary Clubs, in conjunction with the Loveland Museum and endorsed by the Governor of Colorado. The Show is truly “Art With Heart” as 100% of the proceeds benefit Rotary-sponsored charitable projects and causes, including scholarships for local art students and the Thompson Education Foundation (TEF) Resiliency Fund for Unhoused Youth.

The Art Renewal Center has announced semi-finalists for the 17th International ARC Salon Competition. Over 5,000 entries were submitted for consideration for this prestigious event. Only 40 % of the submissions were selected as semi-finalists, and among them is Colorado artist, Michael Gault.  Two of Michael's submissions moved into the semi-finalist round. In the category for Plein Air Paintings, Gault's View of Pikes Peak from Trout Creek made the cut and in the Landscape category, his oil painting Cottonwood Reflections was accepted. Both are multi-award winning oil paintings.

The semi-finalists work will be displayed on the ART website and will be includded in the Lunar Codex. The Lunar Codex is a set of time capsules launched on three NASA-related missions and will include the work of 7,000 creatives. This will be the first significant placement of contemporary arts on the Moon in 50 years.

The annual salon offers cash prizes and international publicity for the final award winners through feature article coverage in multiple national art magazines and online promotion, Winners will be included in the 17th/18th International ARC Salon Book. 

Oil Painters of America hosted their Fall Showcase and Michael Gault had four landscapes in the show. The showcase presented over 1200 oil paintings exhibited in this member's only exhibit. To see the show, click on the button below.

PAAC's 27th Annual National Juried Exhibition is online and includes two plein air oil landscapes by Michael Gault. The Trail on Lazy S Ranch is features a trail into a ranch in Victor, CO while Sunlit Aspens is near Michael's home in Woodland Park. Michael is a signature member of the Plein Air Artsts Colorado group. 

Mountain Artists of Teller County is currently exhibiting the art of members at the Manitou Art Center in Manitou Springs, CO. Michael Gault, of Woodland Park first joint the Mountain Artist group in 1997 and is happy to be a part of this exhibition. The show is in the Hagnauer Gallery at MAC and will be available for public viewing through Sept

Art & Color 365 Magazine presented an Artistic Recognition to Michael Gault for his original charcoal drawing, Chief Plenty Coups. The drawing is one of a series of four that Gault did to create his Native American Limited Edition Print Set. The originals are a part of the artist's personal collection, while the Limited Edition Prints are available through the Artistic Endeavors Fine Art website. The award is a part of the Feature in the Summer/Early Fall Art&Color365 magazine and will be soon available in the Exhibition tab on the magazine's website.

Michael Gault participated in the 24th Annual Victor Celebrates the Arts plein air event hosted in Victor Colorado in September. Michael's oil plein air painting, Tree Shadows Near Bison Reservoir was awarded 3rd Place in the professional category, bringing a ribbon along with a cash award for the win. The Oil Painters of America have announced the 125 artists juried into the 2025 National Salon. Among the artists selected is Colorado Artist, Michael Gault. Gault's landscape, Late in the Day Near Salida  will be a part of the OPA exhibition at James R Ross Fine Art in Indianapolis, IN later this summer. The American Art Awards have announced the winners for the 2024 Collector's Choice International Competition. Artists from 62 countries competed in the 2024 ART COLLECTORS CHOICE AWARDS where 20 international art collectors juried the  drawings, paintings, sculptures, digital and photographs. 

Michael Gault, a USA artist that lives in Colorado was awarded five awards from various categories in this exhibition. In the Category 6 - Abstract division his painting, Variations in Turquoise and Gold took 3rd Place. In the Category 22 - Impressionism Landscapes division his painting, Scarlet Autumn took 6th place and in the Category 35-Realism Landscapes division Michael's painting, The Divide at High Noon took 2nd Place, his painting, Cottonwood Reflections took 3rd Place and his painting, Blue Nocturne took 4th place. Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery is very pleased to announce that Michael Gault has been selected as one of the four winning artists of the gallery’s recent 26th “Solo Art Series” Art Competition. Michael will now have a month-long solo art exhibition and he will be featured on the gallery’s home page, on the Gallery’s YouTube Channel, as well as in the “Solo Art Series” Archive.

The 9th Landscape International Juried Art Competition hosted by Teravarna Contemporary Art Gallery is now available online. 285 Artists from 37 countries were announced as winners from 27 countries. Art & Color 365 Magazine awarded Michael Gault 's Cottonwood Reflection landscape a Special Merit award for their Artist Choice competition. All award winners and their artworks are included in the Winter/Spring 2024 edition of the magazine.

The 6th Still Life International Juried Art Competition sponsored by Teravarna Contemporary fine Art Gallery announced winners which included 197 artists from 29 countries. Among the winning paintings was a painting by Michael Gault. Gault's painting, Onions, Waterbottle & VanGogh was a cash prize winner. The 13th Annual PleinAir Salon announced their Top 100 Finalists for the December Exhibition and Michael Gault's Cottonwood Winter was selected as one of the top landscapes in the show. The December show had 977 entries. To view all of the winners for this exhibition, click on the button below.

Fusion Art of Santa Fe, NM announced winners for their 26th Quarterly Art Competition, Land, Sea & Sky. Taking the 4th Place Traditional Award was Michael Gault, for his landscape, Eagle River Meadow. Michael's waiting Blue Nocturne all was presented a Finalist Award for the Traditional Art category.

Two non-representational paintings brought recognition to Michael Gault Studio. The painting, Dimensional Diluvium received a Distinction Award while Angular Formations received a laurel award, from the hundreds of artists that participated in the show hosted by Gallery 4%, presenting a diverse range of art based on unreal & non-representational concepts. In May 2023 Michael Gault was invited to participate in the World Art Awards Impressionism Competition. Gault's Yellow Carnations and Apples for Mom was awarded 2nd place in the Impressionism-Still Life division and his painting High Country Late Summer was given 4th place in the Impressionism-Landscape category. Among the award winners of the  Light, Space & Time Seascape show is Michael Gault and his contemporary landscapes Blue Nocturne and Into the Thin Veil of Reality.
