This piece was inspired by the Hubble telescope photographs of deep space. This lavash oil transports the spectator into the canvas and through the matrix utilizing layer upon layer of color and light to define the space. During the creation of this piece, and other Rotazione pieces Michael Gault rotates the canvas on the easel to ensure each direction is involved with the movement and motivation.
