Abstracted Misty Morning

Size: 24 x 30 - Oil on Linen - Gallery Wrap

The exciting factor of work that leans to non-representational is the fact that the viewer is open to interpretation of the painting. Some non-rep pieces feel like abstracted landscapes, but remain more about the brushwork and ethereal light. This “place” as a landscape exists only in mind of the artist/creator and the viewer. deep space and reflect the crisp, bright skies of a sunny winters day in  the Colorado Gore Range.

Ambiguous Transitions

This painting was based on a landscape but hovers to abstraction. Contemporary landscape artists that have the ability to utilize strong color and lush brushwork interpretations offer a different experience to the observer than is available with typical representational landscapes. Instead of scene that the spectator sees, the daydreaming quality allows the viewer to interpret & personalize the view.

Inward Reflection
